I had a bit of a different experience last weekend.
I went to bed a bit before my wife, and after about 15 min was in a fuzzy state when I felt myself FALLING. I woke up with a jolt, just as she came into the bedroom.
gives new insight to "falling asleep"

Ouch, has it really been over a year since I did this!
Watching the last video has re-inspired me to get back to it. Stay tuned...

Not sure if this is phase or not...
On several occasions over the past five months, I hear COUNTRY MUSIC playing, as I am waking up.
It's a lot like hearing the radio of your alarm clock as a wake up call, except I am NOT a country music fan, so the radio is NOT set to that (and is not yet on).
The other odd thing, is that the sound level it VERY LOW, just barely audible, so I can't make out the lyrics, but recognize the style of music and base line, with the style of lyrics. It's almost like I am hearing my neighbors wakeup radio station.

When I force myself awake, I can generally hear my wife's gentle snoring beside me.
My guess is that my brain is constructing "music" out of the snoring sounds?
