Moving without moving?

Could someone try to explain this to me please?

If I think about or imagine the desire to move whether awake or asleep then nothing will happen. My body won't actually move until I engage the muscles which seems more or less unrelated to what I actually think.

So if I think I'm in or close to the phase then how do I actually roll out of bed without thinking, imagining, or engaging?
